Festival of the Leaf - three days of world-class cigar culture in Perth this August. An opening night dinner by award-winning Head Chef Charlie Vargas. A full day of events including the FOTL Poker Championship. And the nation's only official qualifying final for the Cigar Smoking World Championship. Dine, compete or just be in the room with cigar in hand where it happens. Your weekend starts here.
Festival of the Leaf is a three-day event built for those who already know the difference between a good cigar and a great one - and want to spend an entire weekend surrounded by people who feel exactly the same way.
Three days. Three distinct events. Two held at The Embassy By Devlin's in Subiaco - Best New Restaurant of the Year and Best Head Chef in 2025 - and Saturday at Devlin's Cigar Divan, Perth's most established premium cigar lounge.
Friday opens with the Cigar Dinner - intimate, unhurried, deliberate. Saturday brings the centrepiece: a full festival day with premium activations, curated hospitality, and the Festival Poker Championship. Sunday closes the weekend the way it deserves to close - with the CSWC Australian Final, the nation's official gateway to the Cigar Smoking World Championship international stage.
One weekend. Three events. The only question is, how many of them will you be at?
The weekend begins at The Embassy By Devlin's, where the Festival takes over the entire restaurant. A four-course dinner crafted by Head Chef Charlie Vargas. Three premium cigars, served in sequence. Wine, beer, and select whisky throughout the evening - then after dinner, cigars and whisky continue on the new High Commission rooftop lounge. Only 120 seats. It will fill fast.

Enter the ChampionshipThere are cigar events that try to appeal to everyone and end up satisfying no one. The Festival of the Leaf is not that.
This weekend has been built for Brothers and Sisters of the Leaf - whether you smoke every day or save a cigar for the moments that matter most. If you understand why a good cigar deserves great company, an unhurried session and a setting that matches the occasion, this festival was built with you in mind.
If you're a lover of the leaf, then Festival of the Leaf is where you belong.
87 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, WA 6008
An opening night dinner for Australia's inaugural cigar festival deserves a room that matches the occasion. This is that room.
Housed in a 100-year-old Subiaco heritage building, The Embassy brings old-world character and atmosphere to a modern kitchen at the height of its powers. The kind of space where the walls carry history, the service carries warmth and the evening carries itself.
Private. Intimate. Unhurried. Everything a cigar dinner should be.
Head Chef Charlie Vargas leads the kitchen - a Culinary Institute of America graduate and one of Perth's most decorated chefs - producing the four-course menu that anchors the Friday evening. The cigars have been selected to match. The whisky has been chosen to follow.
When the doors open on Friday, 21 August, every element of the evening will be exactly where it should be. The only thing missing is you.
"The Embassy delivers that sense of occasion but without being uncomfortably formal."
Festival of the Leaf brings together a self-selected audience of discerning adults across three days - people who research before they commit, spend deliberately and remember which brands were in the room when something memorable happened.
We open that room to a select number of partners.
Partnership at Festival of the Leaf means genuine integration across a premium three-day programme - presence at the Cigar Dinner, the Festival Day and the CSWC Australian Final, in front of an audience that came specifically to be there.
Premium spirits, lifestyle, cigar and luxury brands are invited to discuss what partnership looks like. Enquiries are assessed for fit - not every brand belongs in this room, and that is precisely what makes being in it worth something.
Tickets for the Cigar Dinner will sell out. The Poker Championship has a capped field. The CSWC Australian Final has a registration deadline.
The best seats - at the table, in the room, and on the competitor list - go to those who claim them first.
Add your name below. No payment. No commitment. Just your place at the front of the queue when tickets open, the programme drops, and the competitor list fills.
